Regrets

Time heals, they say. It’s true, but some pain leaves a huge scar that hurts each time I see it.

I’ve done so many things I regret in my life, a couple which involves death.

It kills me each time I think that I can never go back and say “Hey, I’m truly sorry for all the horrible things I’ve said and done. Because despite everything, I love you.” Now that they’re gone, it’s too late to make it up for them.

If you have regrets and it’s still possible to fix. Never wait till it’s too late.

  1. the past is gone and we can do nothing about it, but we should learn from it so when the situation again arrives, we will not (hopefully) repeat. if it was about a death, i am sure the person knows how you feel.

    1. I’m he does. And it was hard. I healed already, just wanted to share because we will never forget. Thanks for reading 🙂

  2. Regrets are hard, and we all have them! And death definitely makes the regret worse but we have to forgive ourselves for things we can’t change.
    Thanks for sharing your heart.

    1. I’ve long forgiven myself for stupid things and things I couldn’t change, but we never forget. Oh well, it’s a life lesson. 🙂

    1. I know! I’m missing him too. And I’m really concern of what’s happening on his side. I’m trying not to think negative, but it’s getting because he haven’t say anything for a long time 🙁

  3. Wise words dear Jess! Time can soothe the pain but will never heal it 💕
And unfortunately when death is involved nothing we can do anymore…but I’m sure that people knew very well that you loved them 💕💓 You are a kind a loving soul 💕🌸

    1. Thanks Joseph. Sadly I must disagree. There are things in life that comes too late, but optimism is a very positive trait and when too late comes, it will guide us to do the next best thing.

      1. Please, always feel free to disagree with my thoughts and insights. They usually differ from norms and I have been called strange or weird not once, twice, or thrice, but a trend continues 🙊🙈😷

      2. 😂 I don’t see anything wrong with being weird or strange. Being out of the norms means you’re special 🙂

  4. It hurts so much, sorry for this! But I love to believe that this person has forgiven you before they go, so you need to forgive yourself ❤️

  5. Wonderful thoughts Jessica! It’s definitely better to deal with things while it can still be done, instead of waiting until it’s too late. Great post.

  6. Very well said… I try that I would tell my feelings to all my near and dear ones. I have regrets, done some things that have hurt people, but I try to better than what I was

    1. Thanks Shalini 🙂 for me it’s painful because I lost him without having a chance to show that I cared.

  7. I often say we are so quick to say mean things and so reluctant to apologize or say beautiful things.
Once expressed, words can never be taken back.
And once a person is gone, we will never have the opportunity to set things straight.
Cherish every moment, make the best of every opporunity.

  8.  “Some pain leaves a huge scar that hurts each time I see it.” This statement is really true to the core. Some pain can’t be demeaned & time can’t heal some pain which created intense depth of scar. So powerful thought Jenny. Loved reading it.
