Depression

Whenever a person feels the worse
They always feel better after talking to friends or family
Fresh air usually elevate the anxiety
A loved one’s smile elevates the pain inside

But what if it can’t?
What if nothing works
What if everything seem useless
Everything feels meaningless

A bucket of tears well inside
But there’s no tears in my eyes
I wish to speak but no words comes out
I want to smile but my lips are locked.

Depression is a terrible thing
You can’t touch it but you can feel
It’s impossible to hide from it
So, I’ll fight it. I will win over it.

Thank you for reading! It’s such an ironic thing that in the last 4 days which I reserved to read blogs is the days I got this heavy blow female hormones…

But then again, that life right? I’m still looking forward for tomorrow. I hope everyone is the same.

Have a nice day!

Such a Lovely post. Clearly explained from depressed person point of view. Best Remedy: Have a friend that you can share all your thoughts to him or her, and self talk 😉.a best cure for depression.
It may seem impossible to share somethings to the person we trust more. Spend some time with self talk, talk in front of mirror, if u feel funny about that talk alone in a room with yourself, question yourself, what benefit you get being on depression. what does it going to change. ask yourself. find an answer. A short life we live, why waste worrying with all negative things around.

When I’m depressed no one can help me but myself because even with a listener it still happens because I don’t even want to talk or be with anyone, to begin with. But I really appreciate the advice about talking to yourself in the mirror. Never tried it before but it sounds like it’s worth a try.

If only you could find words,no maybe listen to friends or better still shed a tear, how about play and rent it out…non works sometimes…but you haven’t lost hope,we always hope in something, something greater than ourselves…so with this hope you will still overcome…

    • Jessica

Sorry, I’m a bit confuse of your comment… I don’t exactly hope something greater than myself. It’s just that when I’m depressed no one can help but myself. But as you said I haven’t lost hope which is why I’m fighting back.

I was wondering where are you , nobody is annoying me hahhaa
Let me tell you when I feel this feeling, no one on earth can help, I just give it time and then it will go…I hope you’ll be able to lift yourself and be better, because no one else can ❤ Sending you lots of love ❤ stay well my dear and remember they are just bunch of hormones right? 😀

    • Jessica

😂 Thanks Hug! Your comment is one of the comments I love the most because it’s exactly what I feel. No matter who offers to listen I won’t talk and I simply just have to let it pass… yes they’re just bunch of hormones 😂
Don’t worry I’ll start pissing you off when I feel great again to show how grateful I am. 😁

      • Huguette

😊😊😊 So glad it is! I’m so stubborn when I’m down, no one on earth can deal with me, so I just isolate myself but I never throw it on people, no one notices at all
Looking forward to your pissing off session😂

      • Jessica

I’ll make you wait a long time, maybe then that will piss you off 😄
I do the isolation part too. No matter how I fake it or stay silent my husband always notices and thank goodness he listens when I said “shut up” for the time being.

      • Huguette

hahahh yes bring it on! 😀
It’s important to have a partner that is the contrast, this is what I learned, because imagine 2 people always screaming and fighting and no one is willing to make a little sacrifice :/ awful! (poor man though hahahaha)

No worries, I either say sorry or bake him chocolate cupcakes. Problem solve haha oh my god I feel so mean.

Very true, talking does make you feel so much more better than before! But then one is often surrounded by people who don’t believe in depression and call it an “excuse” or “an attempt to gain attention”, which makes it even more difficult to talk, due to the fear of being criticised/judged!

    • Jessica

Not only that but depression does makes a person not want to talk and it’s just get annoying the more people want to know

  • davidjhopcroft

Those who are depressed often need the listener more than they need any advice. Depression usually starts to take hold when there is no listener. Your poem expresses this in the loneliness of depression 🙂 🙂

    • Jessica

Thank you. But with me even with a listener it still happens because I don’t even want to talk or be with anyone, to begin with.

Oh, no Milky! Don’t do that! Create beauty from it! It is part of every artist, you just need to use it wisely

      • Jessica

I really wish I can cariño, but sadly I don’t feel like making friends with anything related to darkness other than darkness of the night where I can gaze at the stars. But thank you… you comforted me in a bittersweet kind of way… ugh, or it’s probably because of Jose Marie Chan song huhuhu :'(

      • Jessica

No not at all Cariño because the like I gave is only 1 out of two. I hope you liked it 🙂
